599 HGTE Ferrari laps the Fiorano track test in 126, 1.5 secs behind the Scuderia F-430

Unveiled at Geneva back in March, the 599 HGTE from Ferrari appeared to be a lot more than only a Fiorano having a set of all new five spoke rims. After a few recent testing, HGTE unit equipped Ferrari was then able to lap the automaker’s (Italian) Fiorano test track in only one minute, 26.5 seconds, just 1.5 seconds less than the plant tuned Scuderia F-430. Not bad if you consider the laws physics lead the lightweight, V8 mid engine a lot differently shown, compared to a V12 front engine powered GT auto.

The 599 HGTE Ferrari has a changed suspension setup featuring stiffer springs plus a bigger anti-roll rear bar as well as all-new calibration settings to the controlled magnetically dampeners. So, the ride height is now lower, down sizing the vehicle's center of gravity; mixed with the upgraded stiff stuff improves drastically the control of the body. Like the athlete is in need of good rubber for their feet, the HGTE does too, offering optimized tires specifically made from a softer compound offering better grip.

Do you wish for a Lamborghini hunt in your future Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, well with HGTE you will be able at least embarrassing them when the street turns twisty on you.
