Ford Raptor shown off in Baja

The upcoming SVT Raptor of Ford is 1 of the few units (trucks) giving us the tingly and warm feeling inside our souls. Made with high tech aftermarket pieces hot off the showroom, so, Ford says it will be the 'first truck you could buy right off the lot and drive in Baja.' That's exactly what Bud Brutsman, filmmaker wanted to show.

The "Raptor-Born in Baja" documentary will debut in Hollywood, California at the Egyptian Theater on June 23rd. The film shows the design team from Ford, race engineers, all its team directors putting the Raptor beast together and the off-road F-150 monster, entering the amazing Baja 1000, 1 of the hardest terrain races you've seen A test Raptor passed right through, coming in 3rd on class - development run.

Following the premiere, a 1-hour tv version will air at SPEED Channel on July 12, Sunday. 'I had read in the automotive trades that Ford had told its dealers that the Raptor would be the ’first truck you could buy right off the lot and drive in Baja,’ ' said Bud Brutsman, the BCII CEO/ executive producer of the film. 'I told Ford, ’Let’s prove it.’'

'For 32 years now, Ford trucks have led the marketplace because of our long history of capability and durability' affirmed Doug Scott, Truck Marketing Manager at Ford. 'With the F-150 SVT Raptor, we are delivering a true off-road performance truck with the proven ’Built Ford Tough’ capability and durability that is at the core of every F-150'.
