GM makes the 1,500,000th Corvette unit

At the big meeting in June of Greater Atlanta Automotive Media Association, Chevrolet Product Marketing Director, Karen Rafferty made the announcement today the recent making of the Corvette 1,500,000th at the Bowling Green Assembly GM.

This 1.5 millionth Corvette unit, made on 28th of May, is a 3LT white convertible having red on the interior and black on top (a lot like the the 1st, 500,000th and one millionth Corvette models made in 1953, 1977, 1992). The 1t Corvette was ready on 30th of June, 1953. 'The 1.5 millionth Corvette is a great example of how Chevy is America’s Brand' said Rafferty. 'For nearly 60 years we have built America’s Sports Car and this milestone is a solid proof point'.

Rafferty announced also the pricing of the brand new Corvette Grand Sport 2010. The Grand Sport coupe is Pricing 55,720 Dollars and GS convertible costs 59,530 Dollars. Both prices have a 950 Dollars charge of destination freight. 'The Corvette Grand Sport achieves a 0 - 60 time in less than four seconds, pulls 1.0g on the skid pad and still boasts an impressive 26 highway mpg' said Rafferty said. 'These numbers are unmatched by any of Corvette’s competitors'.
