Future Alfa Romeo, Chrysler and Fiat units unveiled

Chrysler has inked officially a strategic deal with Fiat, Michigan carmaker's upcoming lineup so now is coming into focus. We already were privy about cars like Fiat 500 and the Panda unit that were headed this way, but... a brand new report apparently to outline all those new autos Fiat-Chrysler has planned.

The C-EVO platform of Fiat will see U.S. extensive use, underpinning the future generations of Dodge Journey - Caliber, Chrysler Sebring - Jeep Liberty. The C-EVO platform will be additionally used as the Alfa Romeo-badged SUV's basis. A 2nd Alfa SUV – called the GTX model— will be spawned in July 2011 from the WL platform of Jeep Grand Cherokee. The GTX unit will be made at the Grand Cherokee’s factory - Jefferson North but will be globally sold. Alfa targets 30,000 GTX annual sales.

The Dodge Hornet will see the light finally in 2011, being produced on the 199 platform of Fiat. Chrysler-Fiat agreement will cancel old plans to make the Hornet on a supplied platform from Nissan. The MiTo by Alfa Romeo will be joining the Hornet on the 199 platform of Fiat and will be made also in 2011 at the Belvidere Assembly Plant of Chrysler. The Jeep Panda and Fiat 500 will be produced at the Toluca, Mexico Chrysler factory and should be by Jul 2011 in the dealerships.
