Cayenne Hybrid by Porsche coming in 2010; costing over 124K Dollars

The sports auto builder from Germany, Porsche, debuted a green variant of their well known SUV model, the Cayenne Hybrid in 2007. But the production car scheduled release is still one year away. The Rheinische Post German newspaper has reported that, Wolfgang Dürheimer - Porsche board member unveiled that the SUV Porsche Cayenne will be in the showrooms in 2010 in the 2nd half of the year costing 124,500 Dollars.

The Hybrid SUV Porsche Cayenne will run with a V6 Audi-sourced 3.0 Liter power f, with gas engine producing 333 HP plus 324 lb-ft torque and electric motor bringing another 52 HP, 221 lb-ft torque getting the Cayenne unit moving in a lot more friendly manner, environmentally.

Just because this Cayenne auto is a hybrid does not mean it's a slouch. The power train gas/electric mix is allowing Porsche hybrid to run from zero to sixty MPH in just 6.8 seconds, averaging around 32 MPG when driving on the highway, that's a whole ten MPG better than even the traditional V6 running the Porsche SUV.
