Mercedes opening Driving Academy AMG at 3 American tracks, will be including SLS

Mercedes-Benz plans to start a U.S. series of the Driving Academy AMG at a race tracks trio, including the Palm Beach International Raceway test course. The program, that starts in September, will be offering drivers the chance to sample the carmaker's brand new SLS AMG 2011 later in 2009.

Mercedes will be offering the courses in 3 locations in the present year: in West Palm Beach, in Florida - Palm Beach International Raceway (22-27 September), in Lime Rock, Connecticut - Lime Rock Park (9-15 September) and in Monterey, California - (7-8, 17-20 November).

Only the event Laguna Seca will be allowing drivers to test the SLS AMG unit. The program, that includes a InterContinental Hotel stay in Monterey, costing per participant 2,295 Dollars. Otherwise, the people signing up will have the opportunity of driving the SL63 AMG, E63 AMG, C63 AMG, Black Series CLK63 AMG and the SLK55 AMG. Mercedes, otherwise will be offering either a 1,895 Dollars 1-day program Stage I or a advanced one and intensive Stage II program 3,495 Dollars.
