Ford Focus X Road hits the market

The European division of Ford has officially announced at the AutoRAI motor show that took place in Amsterdam the launch of the Focus X Road special edition model on the Dutch market. The Focus X Road was first seen in April this year. X Road will be built in a limited edition of just 300 units that are all destined to hit the Dutch roads. The price tag of the macho looking Focus station wagon is set at the level of 25.175 euros.

The Ford Focus X-Road features a special off-road body kit with unique rear and front bumpers, aluminum underbody skid trays plus protective trim on the fender arches and sides. Ford`s limited edition X-Road is based on the Focus SW (station wagon) and will come with just one engine option, a 1.8 liter four-cylinder engine that has an output of 125 horsepower. This engine can run on either unleaded gasoline or bioethanol (E85). The car`s looks are finished by the set of unique 17-inch alloy wheels.

Ford Focus X-Road looks fantastic and I am sure that a lot of people will be disappointed that it will only be available to the citizens of The Netherlands. Maybe Ford will be try to produce the X-Road on a larger scale in the future because it looks like a car that would most certainly attract a lot of interest.
