Fiat celebrates one and a half million Pandas

The Italian automaker Fiat has celebrated the exit off the production line of the one million five hundredth Panda model. The Fiat Panda is Fiat`s model for the mini class and has had a huge success until now. The one million five hundredth Panda came out of the production line that Fiat has in the city of Tychy in Poland. This is a new milestone for Fiat`s city car and they hope that it won`t be the last one, promising to get together to celebrate the two millionth Panda . The car that rolled out of the production line in Poland is one with a left hand drive car in magnetic blue with a 1.3 MultiJet engine. The car is set to be transported all the way to Italy where a happy customer is eagerly awaiting his Fiat Panda . The Italian automaker has stated that this year there will be built 285.000 Pandas, a figure that is a record for this model. Panda is currently at its second generation that has debuted in 2003. The second generation of Panda is a very successful one, having won the European Car of the Year 2004 title amongst other several awards.

The city car is also available in a lot of versions, including one that has AWD (all wheel drive). Fiat practically has put itself back on track with this model after having a lot of financial problems in the past. It is without doubt the fact that the Fiat Panda is the best selling A-segment car every year in Europe since 2003. The little Italian city car is so successful that it has been exported to no less than seventy four countries including Japan, South Africa and Mexico.
