2010 Toyota FJ Cruiser gets more power

The 2010 Toyota FJ Cruiser is set to make its arrival at the Japanese automaker`s dealerships in the first part of the month August. The 2010 version of the FJ Cruiser has been slightly modified, in terms of performance and style. On the performance part, the FJ Cruiser will be available with a V6 4 liter petrol engine that gets dual VVT-i and roller rocker arms. Because of this, the engine is now more powerful by 19 HP, managing to develop a total of 258 horsepower. The fuel consumption has been also improved, but only slightly. The 2010 Toyota FJ Cruiser got a one mpg increase. Obviously, it is a very small increase, but it is better than nothing. In comparison, the current version of the FJ Cruiser has a V6 4 liter engine that produces 239 horsepower and 278 lb.-ft of torque. In terms of fuel consumption, the Toyota FJ Cruiser returns a 17 mpg average in the city and 21 mpg in the highway for the two wheel drive version while the four wheel drive version return 16 mpg in the city and 20 mpg on the highway.

The 2010 FJ Cruiser has some minor suspension adjustments that were done in order to reduce the turning radius by over thirty centimeters as Toyota officials stated. Another new thing that the 2010 Toyota FJ Cruiser will have is the option to come in an Army Green exterior color. The price tag of the 2010 FJ Cruiser will be 23.860 dollars for the two wheel drive automatic version and can go up to 25.720 dollars for the four wheel drive automatic model.
