Audi R8 Spider photo put on a classified ad by a dealer

An official British Audi dealer has posted a classified ad meant to make people know that his dealership is now accepting orders for the model that has not been yet released, the Audi R8 Spider. This move was quite a shocking move if we take into consideration the fact that the classified ad features a low quality picture of the R8 Spider without any camouflage. The picture seems to have been taken on the stage of the filming of the Iron Man sequel. The Audi R8 Spider will be available with a V10 5.2 liter that has an output of 525 HP, as the dealer claims.

The Audi R8 Spider will probably make its worldwide debut at the Geneva Auto Show that will take place next year in March, according to the British dealership. They also say that the base price tag of the Audi R8 Spider for the British market will be of 105.000 pounds, a sum which is 5% bigger than the price of the coupe Audi R8. I think that this British Audi dealer has rushed into making such a classified ad and releasing a photo of the model that has yet to be released. He will just have to pray that Audi will not punish his dealership in a harsh manner. As for the car, it will probably have enough clients to make it profitable to be built, but it does not look like a big success to me. Why would anyone buy the convertible version of the Audi R8 and not the coupe? All of the convertible versions of sports car never turned out to be a big hit. And Audi will not be a trend setter with this car here.
