The AV-X10 Dearborn Doll from Ford is going for 250000 Dollars at the EAA 2009 event

Recently, Ford Mustang GT 2009 – fully-customized, was made especially for the 'Gathering of Eagles' of the Experimental Aircraft Association. The car, named AV-X10 Dearborn Doll, included a supercharger kit of 550hp (410kW), a FR500S high-flow system of exhaust, short throw shifter, all-new handling set with dampers, anti-roll bar, lowering springs and, on top, the glass roof - star-designed.

We talk about this because the car just got auctioned off this year at the fly-in convention EAA Air Venture Oshkosh, held in Wisconsin, starting from 27th of July until 2nd of August. The vehicle went for an amazing 250,000 Dollars, that ironically's a lot smaller than the AV8R from Ford auctioned off for 500,000 Dollars during 2008's event.

Despite having just 50% of the AV8R's price, the proceeds gain from the Dearborn Doll AV-X10 purchase will go to the Young Eagles – EAA's program, raising awareness, engaging young people on the aviation and providing also introductory flights (free) to almost 1.3 million young human beings ever since 1992.
