Geely driver fined for doing 550 MPH

The average speed of a commercial passenger is around 550 miles per hour or about 900 km/h. It seems that a Chinese car, a Geely to be more precise, can do the same performance. So why pay hundreds of dollars on air tickets and leave only on a schedule? Get yourself a Chinese car. It is cheap and you can go wherever you want whenever you want. On a more serious note, a woman named Francisca Al-Halase has been caught speeding by the cameras installed on the Canada Road bridge, somewhere in South Africa. The unfortunate event for her took place on the 26th of April this year. Misses Al-Halase was driving her car, a Geely CK-1. You are wondering where this is going? Hang on to see. After just nineteen seconds after the first camera that was placed at the Canada Road bridge flashed her, she was flashed by the second camera that is placed near Randshow Road bridge. The maximum allowed speed between is of 50 mph or 80 km/h. The first camera catched her doing 102 km/h. Nothing impressive about that you might say. The impressive thing is that she somehow managed to cover a distance of 2.9 miles in just nineteen seconds. If you do the math, you will se that this translates into an average speed of 549 mph or 883.5 km/h.

Wait, don`t rush out the door to get yourself a Geely CK-1 just yet. The South African authorities admitted that it was a mistake. The fact is that the Geely CK-1 comes with a 1.5 liter engine that has an output of 94 HP and is capable of achieving a maximum speed of 169 km/h.
