Gemballa is a famous German tuner, being well known for modifying Porsche cars. Maybe their best known project is the Mirage GT Carbon Edition . Basically, Gemballa modified the Porsche Carrera GT with a lot of carbon fiber, as the name suggests. Also, as every tuning company that respects itself, they modified the engine of the car for some increased performance. The V10 5.7 liter engine has been optimized to reach an output of 670 HP. The increase of performance was translated into a performance increase of 0.2 seconds in acceleration. The Gemballa Mirage GT Carbon Edition manages to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds in comparison to the 3.9 seconds of the stock car. Also, the maximum speed has been increased, the Gemballa version managing to reach 208 mph, a performance that is better by 3 mph in comparison to the stock car. The German tuning company has declared that there will be 5 modified editions of the Carrera GT. Some potential owners might be disappointed by the fact that the car they might buy will not be exclusivist.
The second edition of the modified Porsche Carrera GT is called Gemballa Mirage GT Gold Edition. As the name very well says, the car golden elements on it, as well as the carbon edition had a lot of carbon fiber elements on it. Practically, the gold is present on the engine bay, the sills, the wing mirrors, the wheels, the rear brake vent outlets, the air intake, the brake calipers, the wing, the trunk lid and the rear diffuser. Of course, the inside has a lot of golden elements too on the bottom of the gear shift, the vents and the HVAC controls. These guys do not joke with the name of their cars, if they said it is a Gold Edition, then gold it is.
