The Japanese automaker Honda is trying to increase their sales on the European market. Their latest attempt to achieve this objective is represented by the expanding of the range of engines available for the Accord Type-S model. They have added a 2.4 liter four cylinder petrol engine to the range of engines available with the Accord Type-S. It is important to mention that the 2.4 liter petrol engine has an output of 201 horsepower and is the exact same engine that is used in Acura TSX for the North American market. The Honda Accord Type-S has been unveiled this year at the Geneva Auto Show. Until now, the Accord Type-S has been offered exclusively with a 2.2 liter turbo diesel engine that has an output of 180 horsepower.

The Honda Accord Type-S has a very provocative name but in truth it does have any performance modifications in comparison to the standard Accord. The modifications have been done to the way the car looks. The Type-S, in comparison to a standard Honda Accord , has features like newly styled 18 inch alloy wheels, a new aero kit with front and rear aprons, clear indicator covers, side skirts and smoke chrome finished grille.

The inside of the car was not forgotten. In the inside we can see features like a aluminum and leather shift knob for the six speed manual gearbox although clients can choose automatic transmission if they want, aluminum sport pedals and footrest and sport seats in a combination of leather and fabric.

The Honda Accord Type-S is sold in Germany with a price starting from 32.000 euros and will be produced in a limited number of units, only 900 to be more precise.
