Cadillac will launch no less than five new models until 2011. The news was confirmed by Mister Fritz Henderson , president and CEO of General Motors. One of the five new models will be a car that will compete in the luxury sports sedan segment against cars like the Audi A4 or the BMW 3-Series. The luxury sports sedan will most likely come with modern and efficient engines as well as rear wheel drive or an optional all wheel drive.
Fritz Henderson stated that ``We are determined to repeat what CTS has already achieved in design, quality, driving dynamics, performance and fuel economy to grow our presence in this high-volume and highly competitive segment``.
Two other cars of the total of five have been already revealed. To be more precise, the new SRX compact crossover and the CTS Sport Wagon . So, until now, we know that Cadillac will launch an Audi A4 and BMW 3-Series luxury sports sedan competitor, an compact crossover named SRX and a sport wagon version of the CTS. Aside from these three models, the president and CEO of General Motors said that Cadillac will finally launch the product version of the CTS Coupe concept. Henderson confirmed that the CTS Coupe will come with the same V8 6.2 liter supercharged engine that is found on the CTS-V Sedan and has an output of 556 horsepower.
You are probably wondering that the fifth car will be? Well, unfortunately, the president and CEO of General Motors did not give any details about it. Some rumors claim that Cadillac has in plan to replace the flagship model STS that has a rear wheel drive along with the front wheel drive DTS model. Still, these are just rumors, so do not take it as granted. All in all, we know a lot of details about four of the five cars that Cadillac will be launching until 2011.
