2009 is a very important year for the Bugatti, the Italian subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group. This year the company will celebrate its 100th anniversary. Of course, the event could not have gone pass without any special event, so the guys over at Bugatti have revealed a one of a kind Grand Sport called Sang Bleu . The Sang Bleu is not the only model in the range, with other one of a kind versions based on the Grand Sport being called Flog par Hermes, Sang Noir and Bleu Centenaire .
The one of a kind Sang Bleu is based on the Bugatti Grand Sport roofless body. The one of a kind Bugatti uses an innovation of a two-tone theme by applying the two different bodywork materials and not by utilizing paint. The contrasting combination consists of carbon fiber and aluminum. The company stated that this combination has ``embodied its core values of art, form and technique``. As you can well see, the colors chosen for the combination are blue for the carbon fiber while the aluminum is polished in its natural state, a real state of the art piece of work. The large wheels of the Sang Bleu are finished in midnight blue and a diamond cut two tone finish that makes them look fabulous.
The interior of the car features a lot of newly developed Gaucho leather that gives an elegant and harmonious appearance and feeling. The engine of the Bugatti Grand Sport Sang Bleu will be a W16 quad turbo engine that has an output of 1001 horsepower and 1250 Nm of torque. The exact same engine is found on the Veyron model. The Bugatti Grand Sport has been already built in over 250 units of which 215 have been already delivered to the customers. It just leaves us to wonder who will get this beautiful one of a kind Sang Bleu model and the other one of a kind models. Also, the real price paid by the customers would be extremely interesting to know, because I am sure that a one of a kind car does not cost as much as a regular Veyron.
