Aston Martin Rapide test drived in Kuweit

The Aston Martin Rapide is one of the most anticipated and eagerly awaited cars in the last couple of years. The Aston Martin Rapide will be a tough contender on a market that has been dominated for years by the Mercedes CLS and lately has received the answer from cars like the BMW 5-Series GT and the Porsche Panamera , which wanted to take a slice of the market for themselves. Well, the British automaker Aston Martin is clearly not prepared to let a dozen journalists to test drive the Rapide because it is still under development. Still, Steve Cropley of Autocar.co.uk has had the opportunity to at least sit in the car during the hot weather tests done by the development team of Aston Martin in Kuwait. Well, it can not get any hotter than it is in Kuwait.

Steve Cropley actually did not seem to have the time of his life during these tests. Anyway, from the video released we can see that the passenger area seems to be quite small for a five meter long sedan. The Aston Martin Rapide practically keeps the same styling patterns of the British automaker, even if it is a saloon. It is quite weird that a five meter long car can not provide enough room for the passengers. This fact can be a big negative hit in terms of sales for the Rapide. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Until we see what the production version of the Aston Martin Rapide will be like, you can watch the video of the Kuwait tests HERE
