Concept Study named Nissan R-TX impresses

The event named 2009 Degree Show held at the National Waterfront Museum in Swansea, UK, was the host of many very interesting creations. A particular one has drawn the attention. I am talking about the creation of Matt Jones, a student in Design at the Swansea University. He managed to create a concept study named Nissan R-TX. The sports car concept study is quite clearly inspired from the successful Nissan GT-R , but the most interesting part of the creation of Matt Jones is the modular construction of his concept study.

Practically, if this car will ever reach production, then the driver would be able to remove the roof panels of the car, the rear of the car, the front of the car and even the front windshield thus making the vehicle a car very similar to the KTM X-Bow starting from a race sports car form. Matt Jones said that the driver`s emotions was the key aspect during the design development of this concept study, along with the lower weight of the car and improved aerodynamics.

This is a very interesting concept study that comes to show you that the future of automobiles is bright as long as there are a lot of young men (and women) like Matt Jones. The idea he had would have been considered madness a couple of decades ago, but now it is not far from reality. Who knows, maybe someday soon we will see such a car in production form.
