Countdown website launched for the 2010 Saab 9-5

A couple of Swedish websites and magazines surprised everybody back in July when they launched more than 40 photos of the eagerly awaited new Saab 9-5 sedan. Still, the Swedish automaker Saab is keeping their original schedule that consists of the official launch of the Saab 9-5 sedan to take place on the 27th of August, which is next Thursday. It is quite clear that Saab gave the photos of their new Saab 9-5 to all the magazines and websites to see how the public would react to their new creation.

Now, a information appeared on the official website of Saab according to which mister Simon Padian, Saab`s design chief, will officially reveal the Saab 9-5 sedan. The first public appearance of the Mercedes E-Class competitor will take place next month in Germany, at the Frankfurt Auto Show. The Saab 9-5 sedan is expected to hit the market in the first part of the next year.

Maybe the strategy of the Swedish automaker Saab might be quite awkward, but the fact is that the new Saab 9-5 sedan looks great. The Swedish saloon looks much better than the current version and I am quite sure that it will be able to revitalize the struggling automaker. Hopefully, under Koenigsegg management, the Saab brand will be reborn and take an important role on the auto market. Anyway, below you have a high resolution gallery of 46 photos in which you can see the new Saab 9-5 sedan. Check out the pictures below.
