GGR edition of the Ford Focus RS

The second generation of the Ford Focus RS was quite a great success. The hot hatchback comes with a 2.5 liter turbocharged engine that has an output of 300 horsepower. The engine is coupled to a six speed manual gearbox that sends all the power to the front wheels, making the car one with a front wheel drive. Tuning companies have noticed the success of the Ford Focus RS and have started working on upgrade packages for the hot hatchback. The Ford specialized tuning company Graham Goode Racing (long for GGR) have managed to bring to the market one of the first upgrade packages for the Ford Focus RS.

The Graham Goode Racing have launched an engine tuning package named RS340 that features an ECU upgrade with firmware modifications and software reprogramming of the Ford Focus RS engine.

Graham Goode Racing claims that their engine tuning package makes the engine more powerful by 40 HP and 99 Nm of torque. Thus, the modified engine of the Ford Focus RS manages to have a total output of 340 Hp delivered at 5600 revs per minute and 537 Nm of torque delivered at 3100 revs per minute. Unfortunately, the 0 to 100 km/h figures have not been disclosed by Graham Goode Racing.

The price of the engine tuning package is of a mere 435 pounds and comes with a 12 month (or 30.000 miles) breakdown warranty. This is a cheap price for a quite nice engine tuning package in my opinion. There will be a lot of speed fanatics that I am sure will want to buy the engine tuning package of GGR.
