BMW is appointing Wieland Bruch as Communications Manager

BMW – the German maker just announced Wieland Bruch will lead their Product Communications beginning September 7, replacing Mark Harrison.

The new manager of communications is responsible for BMW - MINI product communications; he will be leading both teams, reporting to Graham Biggs, the Corporate Communications Director.

BMW stated for the press 'Wieland joins the department from the communications team in Munich where he has worked on a wide range of product communications and brings a wealth of experience, particularly in technical matters'.

'With his engineering background and a recent focus on BMW EfficientDynamics, alternative powertrains and on the international launch of the new BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo, Wieland is perfectly placed to help build a wider understanding of the company’s new technologies and vehicle concepts in the UK'.

This comes just before Frankfurt Auto Show, opening in Germany next month. The German maker will showcase its newest units, including 5 Series GT, BMW ActiveHybrid X6, BMW X1 and BMW ActiveHybrid 7.

The star will be the all-the new green sports vehicle concept. So far called the Z Vision Concept, this brand new green BMW is a 'product of sustainable development'.

BMW affirmed 'The BMW EfficientDynamics Vision will demonstrate how efficient a sports car can be. It will also prove that sustainability does not apply to the drive train alone, but to design and materials as well'.
