Mini preparing to reveal two new models

Tomorrow is a very important day for the British automaker Mini . On the 26th of August 1959 the Mini company was officially opened. Tomorrow, the British automaker will celebrate 50 years of existence. On this special occasion, rumors say that Mini will reveal the first set of photos showing a coupe concept car with two seats that will make its public debut next month in Germany, at the Frankfurt Auto Show. It seems that the centre of interest of the coupe Mini will be the course of the new roof and the steep windshield. If this is true, then the car will look quite interesting.

The same rumors claim that the coupe concept car of Mini will be based on the JCW (John Cooper Works) Mini and will get its power from a twin turbocharged 1.6 liter engine with four cylinders that has an output of 211 HP and 280 Nm of torque. From what it seems, the Mini coupe concept will be faster than the John Cooper Works (JCW) Mini thanks to the fact that the Mini coupe concept car will have no rear seats and a weight saving aluminum roof.

Mini will come to Frankfurt with this coupe concept model and a long awaited Roadster model, as sources claim. Still, it is not clear whether either one of the two cars that will be presented during the Frankfurt Auto Show in September will eventually reach production state. We will just have to wait for the start of the Frankfurt Auto Show to see what happens.
