1983 Mercedes 560SE modified by Inden Design

What we have here is an old school tuning. The 1983 Mercedes-Benz 560SE is considered by a lot of people as being one of the most simple and amazingly elegant cars to ever be built. Thus, this 1983 Mercedes-Benz 560SE was modified by the tuning company Inden Design back in 1991. Actually, this certain model was the first Mercedes model to ever be modified by Inden Design. You wonder why are we talking about a car that was made in 1983 and modified in 1991? Well, Inden Design has decided that it would be a good idea to show to the press a real page of the company`s history. This is obviously a marketing move, in the attempt to show that they did evolved a lot since 1991 but keep respecting some basic principles.

The most important features of the 1983 Mercedes-Benz 560SE include a sport exhaust system with dual pipes, the bumpers and side covers taken from the 1986 facelifted version of the 560SE and the headlamps and taillights that were taken from the US market version of the Mercedes Benz 560SE. The very aggressive stance of the 1983 Mercedes Benz 560SE modified by Inden Design is given by the lowered suspension and the wider fenders that accommodate 18 inch alloy wheels used in combination with 255/35 R18 tires in the front and huge 315/30 tires in the back. The interior of the car could not have been forgotten. Thus, we can see that the interior of the car has special wood trim, that it is completely covered in black Nappa leather and also has a set of Konig sports seats in the front of the car.

The power of the 1983 Mercedes 560SE modified by Inden Design is offered by a V8 6.0 liter engine that has an output of 368 horsepower. Obviously, all that power has to be stopped at some point. Responsible for this is an upgraded six piston sports brake system with 352 X 32 millimeter discs from AP Racing. All in all, Inden Design managed back in those days to create a great project. Obviously, the standards of today are a lot higher, but for those days it is just a great piece of work.
