The Japanese automaker Suzuki is strengthening their British lineup of models with a special edition of the Swift. The special edition Suzuki Swift is called SZ-L. The special edition Suzuki Swift SZ-L is based on the five door version Swift that comes with a 1.3 liter gasoline engine. The difference is made by a superior level of equipment. The most important features of the Suzuki Swift SZ-L include chrome finish for the rear tailgate trim, exterior door handles and front grille. Other features include specific floor mats, air conditioning, side protection mouldings, pearlescent or metallic paint, electrically retractable exterior mirrors and 15 inch alloy wheels.
Other interesting elements include aluminum effect detailing for the door trims and audio surround as well as chrome bezels that have been added to the instrument gauges.
Potential buyers will be able to purchase the Suzuki Swift SZ-L in a choice of four colors, including Silky Silver metallic, Cool White pearl, Supreme Red Pearl and Cosmic Black Pearl. The special edition Suzuki Swift SZ-L will be produced in just 500 units. The base price of the Suzuki SZ-L will be as high as 10.250 pounds.
Suzuki is not the first automaker to adopt the strategy of launching special editions of certain models. In difficult times that are under the effect of the global economical and financial crisis, these kind of marketing ideas seem to be prolific ones. The idea to offer the same car but with a higher level of equipment for a lower price in comparison to the same car equipped with all the optional features is great, because in difficult times people are looking for the best value to price ratio. Also, the idea to produce this kind of cars in limited editions of fewer than 1000 units gives the idea of exclusivity, a feeling that the usual person thinks is only available for the rich. The fact that a common citizen can afford a car that will be produced in under 1000 units and that has extra equipment for a better price in comparison to the usual version is a great idea that surely will have success.
