Limited edition Porsche 911 Sport Classic revealed

The German automaker Porsche has decided a limited edition of the 911 called Porsche 911 Sport Classic. Porsche will publicly present the 911 Sport Classic in a couple of weeks in Germany, during the Frankfurt Auto Show. The Porsche 911 Sport Classic will be produced in only 250 units. The limited edition model will hit the market in the first month of the next year. The Porsche 911 Sport Classic pays tribute to the past blending retro styling cues of the brand`s history and comes with a couple of performance upgrades. The Porsche 911 Sport Classic is based on the rear wheel drive 911 Carrera S.

The center of attention of the Porsche 911 Sport Classic is represented by the ducktail rear spoiler that brings back the memory of the legendary 1973 Carrera RS 2.7. Other important features of the Porsche 911 Sport Classic include custom made 19 inch wheels with their rim star painted black that echo the Fuchs rims worn by 911s of the past, a double-bubble roof, wider rear fenders, new front apron and side skirts. The body of the special edition 911 is finished in an exclusive Sport Classic Grey paint with light grey racing stripes that give the car a retro yet modern look.

Moving on towards the interior, we get to see a dashboard with a wide range of inserts and add-on components that is finished in Espresso Nature natural leather, a retro touch with woven leather and yarn sport seats complemented with light-grey piping and on the door panels.

The engine of the Porsche 911 Sport Classic is tweaked, as the 3.9 liter direct injection six cylinder engine gets a new resonance intake manifold with six vacuum-controlled switching flaps. Thanks to these modifications, the 3.9 liter direct injection engine manages to have a higher output by 23 HP, to a grand total of 408 horsepower. The six speed manual gearbox sends the power towards the rear wheels.

Potential buyers of the Porsche 911 Sport Classic will have to pay no less than 169.300 euros before getting their car at the beginning of the next year.
