The German tuning company Kneibler Autotechnik thinks that a famous car like the BMW M3 E46 can be improved, despite other opinions. Kneibler Autotechnik comes with a lot of modifications done to the body, powertrain and chassis. The German tuning company has improved with an ECU upgrade, a supercharger and a intercooler the 3.2 liter six cylinder engine of the BMW M3.
Thanks to al these modifications, the 3.2 liter engine manages to develop 456 HP and 498 Nm of torque, in comparison to the original 343 HP and 365 Nm of torque. The improvement is impressive, but so is the price. Potential buyers have to take out of their pocket (rather their bank accounts, to be honest) a sum of 13.000 euros. Also, if potential customers also want a new sports muffler, they will have to pay an extra 1350 euros, for a total price of 14.350 euros.
But these are not the only improvements that can be made to the BMW M3 E46. Customers can choose to buy a new braking system that consists of stabilizers for 419 euros, 6 piston calipers in the front for 3852 euros, KW-Sport coilover kit for 1749 euros and 4 piston calipers at the back for 3103 euros. All of these come for a grand total of a little over 9100 euros. So let`s add this up, 14.350 euros plus 9123 euros is a total of 23.473 euros.
Styling upgrades are also available. To be more precise, you can get LSD scissor doors for 1990 euros and 20 inch alloy wheels from Oxigin wrapped in Hankook tires with sizes of 255/30 at the front and 305/25 at the rear for a price of 2723 euros.
If we are to make a conclusion, you can get a complete conversion of your BMW M3 E46 for a price of 28.186 euros. I honestly think that the price is exaggerated and I do not know who will want to pay over 28.000 euros to upgrade their BMW M3 E46. I think that only people who are truly in love with their car and what to treat it right will pay this kind of money. To be honest, for 28.000 euros you can buy a very good new car.
