The German tuning company Brabus is famous for their modification done especially on Mercedes Benz vehicles. It is safe to say that Brabus is a tuning specialist when it comes to Mercedes Benz cars.
The latest project of the German tuning company is based on a refreshed Mercedes Benz S600. Brabus has focused on the performances of the Mercedes Benz S600 managing to seriously improve the standard V12 5.5 liter engine. To be more precise, the German tuning company has added bigger turbo compressors and has enlarged the displacement of the engine up to 6.3 liters.
Thanks to these modifications the seriously improved engine manages to have an output of 750 horsepower at 5500 revs per minute and a level of 1100 Nm of torque, a level that is electronically limited. This extremely powerful modified engine is mated to a five speed automatic transmission that can be optionally offered with a locking differential made by Brabus. It is important to mention that the powertrain is completed by a rear wheel drive system.
The performances are quite impressive as the modified Mercedes Benz S600 manages to go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.0 seconds. Also, the Brabus modified Mercedes Benz S600 manages to go from standstill to 200 km/h in 11.9 seconds while being able to achieve a maximum speed of 340 km/h that is electronically limited.
I forget to tell you that the German automaker has decided to call their Mercedes Benz S600 based project in a very interesting way, more precisely Brabus SV12R. Thus the Brabus SV12R has 265/30 ZR21 tires in the front and 295/30 ZR21 in the back. Potential buyers can choose the manufacturer of the tires from either Yokohama or Pirelli. They can also choose from a series of 21 inch alloy wheels available in a number of designs.
Such a huge power has to be controlled so Brabus also seriously improved the braking system with a sportier suspension setup, twelve piston aluminum fixed calipers along with 380 x 36 millimeters vented cross drilled discs at the front and 355 x 28 millimeters discs with six piston aluminum fixed calipers at the back.
The German tuning company also decided to not leave aside the styling attributes of their Brabus SV12R and added a brand new body kit that includes features like a new rear diffuser that also houses the quad tailpipes along with the side air vents, a new front bumper with integrated LED lights, a discreet boot lid spoiler and side skirts.
The Frankfurt Auto Show will be the place where the German tuning company decided to publicly present the Brabus SV12R.
