2010 Mercedes C-Class announced

The German automaker Mercedes Benz has decided to release the 2010 version of their sedan C-Class. The only differences between the formed model and the current 2010 Mercedes Benz C-Class are represented by new exterior mirror housings and reshaped air intakes on the front bumper that now house a pair of LED daytime running lights. The German automaker decided to present photos of the 2010 Mercedes Benz C-Class on their own website and not to make a big presentation out of it.

You are wondering why Mercedes Benz not made a big event out of the 2010 Mercedes C-Class launch. Well, the reason is simple. It is because the 2010 Mercedes Benz C-Class is not actually a big improvement. As I earlier said, the 2010 year model Mercedes Benz C-Class has only two very minor improvements. This is quite typical for German automakers in general and Mercedes Benz in particular. In the last decade, nothing stunning happened in terms of design regarding Mercedes models. The cars look basically the same. Sure, the interior of the car has been improved quite seriously (not dramatically, let`s be honest), the exterior design was somewhat improved but nothing spectacular. The point is that Mercedes Benz has not launched a new generation that can actually be called a new generation for a lot of time now. Obviously, at least by words, they have released over the last years new generations of their models, but no essential change was done. On the other hand, Mercedes Benz has a series of fans that obviously go by the principle ``Why change/repair something that is not broken?``. Slowly, the Mercedes ranges of sedans (C-Class, E-Class and S-Class) tend to become classics, iconic cars in their range. If you want to put it this way, you can say that the Mercedes C-Class is turning into something similar to the Porsche 911. The Porsche 911 is a car that has not dramatically improved its design over the last decades, but it is loved exactly for that and is considered an iconic car in its segment.
