Spy photos of 2011 Audi A8 hit the web

It looks like the German automaker Audi is intensely working on the next generation of its premium sedan Audi A8. The Audi A8 was spied while it was in the middle of a session of hot weather tests. Obviously, the 2011 Audi A8 prototype was wearing heavy camouflage so that no one can see essential things. Still, in comparison to the previous set of spy photos, this time we can see a little more of the car. The Audi A8 will most likely get its power from a big range of engines including a 3.0 liter TDI engine that has an output of 258 horsepower as well as a couple of V6 and V8 petrol engines.

In the photos below we can finally see more details. More precisely, the 2011 Audi A8 shows its LED daytime lights. These LED lights lead towards the grille which seems to be distinctly separated into a lower and an upper section. This would be something new, as the current Audi A8 has a one piece grille that is not distinctly separated at all. We also get to see that the new bumpers seem to have space for integrated fog lamps. The rear end of the 2011 Audi A8 prototype looks somewhat more prominent, thus it is possible that we will see LED lights in the rear too. We get to see a little of the interior thanks to a photo from the rear glass.

Speculations are at the order of the day, as until now we are not certain whether what we have here is the 2011 Audi A8 or if it will turn out to be the 2010 Audi A8. Some rumors claim that the German automaker will present this car towards the end of this year as a 2010 year model. Other rumors claim that we will get to see this car as a 2011 model next spring at the Geneva Auto Show. The rumors are too many and too contradictory to be certain of anything at the moment. We will just have to wait and see what happens. Until then, check out the pictures below.
