What we have here are on location photos of the latest creation of the German tuning company, Abarth. Abarth decided it was time to present the 695 Tributo Ferrari at the 2009 edition of the Frankfurt Auto Show.
As you all know, the Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari is a project that is based on the Fiat 500. The Italian automaker Ferrari gave its blessing to Abarth so that they can use the Ferrari name for their project. The Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari gets its power from a 16 valves 1.4 liter turbocharged engine that was tweaked so that it can have an output of a little over 180 horsepower. The 1.4 liter engine is mated to a Manual Transmission Automated (MTA) electromechanical gearbox that has paddle gearshift inspired from racing cars. The Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari comes with a front wheel drive system.
The braking system was seriously improved in comparison to the stock braking system available on the Fiat 500. More precisely, 284 millimeter multi section discs Brembo with four piston calipers have been installed. The Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari also gets new shock absorbers. 17 inch alloy wheels in a dark finish with a Ferrari inspired design have been fitted.
The performance upgrades are completed by a ``record monza`` variable back pressure dual mode exhaust that is meant to offer a more sonorous note over 3000 revs per minute and to improve the performances of the engine.
The exterior styling upgrades are finished by xenon headlights with dipped and main beam functions, a Scuderia Red paint, wheels and rear air intakes in ``Racing Grey`` and carbon fiber door mirrors and racing stripes.
