After launching more powerful version of the Scirocco and Golf, Volkswagen was expected to announce the launch of a more powerful version of the Polo too. Still, the German automaker seems to not have any intention of doing this anytime soon. Don`t worry, because the German tuning company ABT has decided to tweak the new Volkswagen Polo to satisfy, at least in part, the needs of people who want a more powerful Volkswagen Polo .
ABT has decided to improve the power output of basically all the engines in the range available for the new Volkswagen Polo . More precisely, the 1.2 liter TSI petrol engine that initially had an output of 105 horsepower ahs been tweaked to have an output of 130 horsepower. In the same time, the 1.6 liter TDI engine that initially had an output of 75 horsepower has been tweaked in order to have an output of 90 horsepower, the same 1.6 liter TDI engine that initially had an output of 90 horsepower has been tweaked so that it manages to have an output of 110 horsepower while the 1.6 liter TDI engine that initially had an output of 105 horsepower has been tweaked so that it has an output of 130 horsepower.
The German automaker claims that the CO2 emissions and fuel consumption levels remain the same despite the power increase.
Potential customers can choose a subtle aero kit that consists of special decals, a carbon fiber roof spoiler, a set of 18 inch titanium covered alloy wheels and a rear apron that has the twin tailpipes on it. A new set of springs destined to drop the ride height by a few millimeters comes as standard.
Moving on towards the interior, the ABT modified Volkswagen Polo gets specific floor mats and an aluminum gearshift knob. Later this year we will get to see real life photos and the pricing levels of the ABT modified Volkswagen Polo.
