2010 Hyundai Accent revealed

The South Korean automaker Hyundai revealed the new Accent model for the 2010 year. All of the 2010 Hyundai Accent models get some interesting enhancements meant to reduce the fuel consumption, including a smart alternator management system, lower friction engine components, lower rolling resistance silica tires and aerodynamic improvements. An entry level 2010 Hyundai Accent Blue Edition manages a combined fuel economy level of 31 mpg.

If we are to believe the South Korean automaker, the 2010 Hyundai Accent will return a combined fuel economy of 30 mpg no matter what transmission is chosen, in comparison to the 29 mpg of the 2009 year model. The 2010 Hyundai Accent will get its power from the same 1.6 liter engine capable of developing 106 lb-ft of torque available at 4500 revs per minute and 110 horsepower available at 6000 revs per minute.

The 2010 Hyundai Accent Blue Edition will be the entry level of the new Accent models. As the name suggests, the 2010 Hyundai Accent Blue Edition has superior fuel efficiency thanks to the revised transmission gear and lowered ride height but except this it is basically the same in comparison to the other Hyundai Accent models. It seems that the 2010 Hyundai Accent Blue Edition has a fuel economy of 36 mpg on the highway and 27 mpg in the city with a combined level of 31 mpg. The 2010 Hyundai Accent Blue Edition will have a base price of around 10.000 dollars.

Other features for the 2010 Hyundai Accent include ABS for the Accent GS, iPod/USB ports to auxiliary input on all audio equipped models, standard cruise control and sunroof on the Accent SE, standard steering wheel audio controls on the Accent SE, standard blue backlit gauges on all models and optional standard steering wheel audio controls for the Accent GLS.
