US pricing levels for 2010 Lexus GS and GS450h announced

The 2010 Lexus GS range was publicly presented during the 2009 edition of the Frankfurt Auto Show that took place in September. Even though the Lexus GS range was improved, the prices remain the same as for the 2009 model range. The 2010 Lexus GS 350 and the 2010 Lexus GS 460 get new colors and technology enhancements while getting their power from a 3.5 liter V6 engine that has an output of 303 horsepower or a 4.6 liter V8 engine that has an output of 342 horsepower. The 2010 Lexus GS 450h hybrid receives some added features and a minor cosmetic facelift.

The 2010 Lexus GS 450h hybrid gets its power from a compact electric motor and a V6 3.5 liter petrol engine that have a total output of 340 horsepower. Other very important features include unique 18 inch alloy wheels, a revised front grille and clear tail lamp covers. These styling improvements were done in order to differentiate the hybrid version from its gasoline siblings.

The 2010 Lexus GS 350 and the 2010 Lexus GS 460 has the former Cashmere interior replaced by a Parchment colored interior. Three exterior colors were discontinued while two new exterior colors are available. The three exterior colors that were discontinued are Golden Almond Metallic, Black Sapphire Pearl and Verdigris Mica. The two new exterior colors are Satin Cashmere Metallic and Deep Sea Mica.

The optional Lexus Navigation system has been updated to a new hard disk drive based system with Voice Command casual language voice recognition and Bluetooth phonebook download capability. The standard Lexus Premium Sound System on all the models of the range receive iPod/USB connectivity, an integrated satellite radio receiver and streaming audio via Bluetooth.

The 2010 Lexus GS range will hit the North American market towards the end of this month. Potential buyers can get their hands on a 2010 Lexus GS 450h for 57.425 dollars while a 2010 Lexus GS 350 is cheaper, coming with a base price tag of 45.875 dollars.
