Lexus LF-A confirmed for Tokyo

The Japanese automaker Lexus made some important statements. Thus, the Japanese automaker confirmed that their stand at the 2009 edition of the Tokyo Auto Show will host the world debut of a ``revolutionary two seater supercar``. More precisely, they confirmed that the Lexus LF-A will make its public debut in just a couple of days, as soon as the Tokyo Auto Show will open its gates. Unfortunately, Lexus did not release any information or photos of the highly anticipated and long awaited two seat supercar but rumors claim that the Lexus LF-A will compete in terms of performance and price with exotic cars like the Ferrari 458 Italia. It will be interesting to see how good the Lexus LF-A will actually be. It is important to mention that all the information we have points out that the Lexus LF-A will get its power from a V10 engine. The Japanese automaker also confirmed the JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) debut of the Lexus LF-Ch compact premium hybrid concept.

These are interesting times for both Toyota and Lexus, as Toyota confirmed the public debut of the Toyota FT-86 compact sports coupe at the Tokyo Auto Show too. It seems that the Japanese group is tired of making boring perfect cars and decided to start making exciting sports cars. Now we will just have to wait and see whether the sports car of the Toyota group will also be perfect as most of their current models which are also considered dull. The launch of the Lexus LF-A will surely be greeted by a lot of enthusiastic fans of the Toyota Supra, as the LF-A kind of makes us think of the Toyota Supra. It will be interesting to see the performance figures and the price until we can give a clear verdict.
