GM rolled out in India its all-new Chevrolet Cruze, having the vehicle offered in 2 variants, LTZ and LT, featuring 6 colors available for the whole range.
This car is excelling in safety measures, after getting the maximum rating of 5-star in the CNCAP (China New Car Assessment Program) rating. The rebadged Cruze variant - Australian Holden Cruze, sold Down Under, got the 5-star rating of ANCAP (Australiasian New Car Assessment Program).
Karl Slym, GM India's President and Managing Director said 'Chevrolet has become a driving force in India's vehicle market. The Cruze has been receiving rave reviews since its recent debut in some other markets. The auto Journalists in India who had test driven the vehicle for their technical auto magazines and previews on TV channels have rated it as the best in its segment for its unique product attributes. It builds on the reputation of the brand for attractive design, great performance and outstanding fuel economy in the D-segment. We expect it to perform well against established D-segment players'.
The range of Chevrolet Cruze comprises 3 diverse powerplants, 1.8-, 1.6-liter plus turbocharged 1.6-liter. Its turbo engine produces 180 hp top power and torque of 230 Nm between 1,980 - 5,500 rpm, this according to the numbers General Motors provided.
However, in the UK, Chevrolet Cruze costs a 11,545 pounds - base price, offering 4 engine configurations, having the lowest variant making 113 horsepower.
