Ford China is returning 79 percent raise in China

The Chinese operations of Ford are developing quite good and the American-based maker, together with all the joint ventures delivers 119,338 models total sales on the 3rd quarter. This means a raise of 79 % compared to the 2008's same period of time.

Ford's September sales grew year-on-year 107 %. Changan Ford Mazda Automobile Co. has 227,839 sold units in the 1st 9 months, a year-on-year 43 % raise. Jiangling Motors Corporation got 82,718 models in September, having Ford Transit the leading unit on the light commercial high-end van department receiving sales of 23,520 cars in the 1st 3 quarters.

The CEO and chairman of Ford Motor China - Robert Graziano said 'The overwhelming response of Chinese consumers to our world-class lineup of Ford brand vehicles is underpinning our continued performance of record sales'.

Graziano continued 'In September, Fiesta achieved its best monthly sales performance of 5,009 units, reaching total sales of 32,178 since its March launch. With the right plan and right products in place, we will continue to deliver Ford brand vehicles with best-in-class quality, fuel efficiency, safety and innovative technologies that our customers value and want'.

Ford Focus is still 1 of the best-selling units in China, having the sales in September totaling 13,891 models. This is a 72 % raise compared to 2008's same month and raises the sales this year to 99,109 cars.

Graziano affirmed 'We are committed to focusing on our ONE Ford plan in China and further expanding to meet the continued rise in demand from Chinese consumers for world-class Ford products and services'.
