The Automotive Communication Team of McLaren is almost filled up

McLaren Automotive made the announcement of 3 new appointments on its team of global communication. Leanne Hutchinson worked during summer at the Sales and Marketing team for McLaren, as Co-ordinator of Events, Dan Connell is since September Press Officer, while Evan Jones is filling the group Marketing Assistant position.

Connell and Hutchinson will be reporting into Head of PR, Mark Harrison, the firm stated. Jones reports into Head of Marketing, Lianne Daly, working tight with her Product teams, Customer Relationship Marketing.

Leanne Hutchinson stated 'I am thrilled to be working at McLaren Automotive. We are putting a new car and a new company onto the global automotive map and launching in all major markets around the world. It will be a lot of hard work, but also a lot of fun. Having already investigated a number of major global events since joining it is clear that there is a huge interest in McLaren’s plans, but excitingly, we will deliver those plans in a non-traditional way'.

Harrison continued 'PR and events will integrate with Marketing and play a major role in communicating McLaren Automotive’s plans and new car launches. Leanne and Dan’s appointments have given us excellent and relevant experience in that respect. But importantly both offer the sort of attitude we are looking for in a team that does not just want to do things in a conventional way. The new car is revolutionary and the way we communicate it and the company will also raise eyebrows'.
McLaren announced also the regional directors already have been recruited in Europe, North America and the Middle East, with PR and marketing positions filled up before 2009 ends.
