19th of October 2009 All you dog lovers out there can be happy now, as the Japanese automaker Honda has developed a package that fits you and your pooch best. More precisely, the 2010 Honda Element comes with a very interesting optional package named Dog Friendly. The Dog Friendly package for the 2010 Honda Element contains some important features that improve convenience, safety and comfort for both dogs and owners at the same time. The Dog Friendly package has a price of 995 and was previewed for the first time during the 2009 edition of the New York Auto Show.
The Dog Friendly package for the 2010 Honda Element includes a spill resistant water bowl, a soft sided cargo area car kennel made from seat belt grade netting, an extendable ramp that stores under the pet bed platform, a 12V DC rear ventilation fan to keep the pooch cool and a cushioned pet bed in the cargo area with an elevated platform. For those dog lovers that like to brag about their passion or hobby, Honda offers all season rubber floor mats with a toy bone pattern and a set of Dog Friendly exterior emblems.
The 2010 Honda Element has a powertrain that consists of either a four wheel drive system or a front wheel drive system, a 2.4 liter i-VTEC four cylinder engine capable of developing 166 horsepower and a five speed automatic transmission. The top of the range 2010 Honda Element 4WD EX with a navigation system has a price of 25.585 dollars while the basic 2010 Honda Element 2WD LX has a base price of 20.535 dollars. It is important to mention that both prices are without the 710 dollars destination charge, taxes and license.
