The British division of Audi has announced the UK prices for the new Audi A3 with S-Tronic and Start/Stop system. Previously the fuel saving Start/Stop system was reserved for four cylinder manual gearbox models exclusively, but now the 1.4 TFSI gasoline version and the 1.6 TDI version with S-Tronic dual clutch transmission of the Audi A3 get it too.

The Audi A3 1.6 TDI S-Tronic with Start/Stop function returns a level of 109 grams per kilometer of carbon dioxide emissions and a combined fuel economy of 67.3 mpg UK or 56 mpg US. The Audi A3 1.6 TDI S-Tronic with Start/Stop is capable of reaching a maximum speed of 195 km/h or 121 mph while being able to accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h in 11.7 seconds, all of this for a price of 18.905 pounds.

The Audi A3 1.4 TFSI S-Tronic with Start/Stop returns a level of 124 grams per kilometer of carbon dioxide emissions and an average fuel economy of 53.3 mpg UK or 44.4 mpg US. The Audi A3 1.4 TFSI S-Tronic with Start/Stop is able to reach a maximum speed of 203 km/h or 126 mph while being able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.3 seconds.

Potential buyers will have to wait until December to receive their cars, but can start ordering now.

The Audi A3 is a very popular car in the UK and the fact that two new versions received upgrades (S-Tronic transmission and Start/Stop function) is just another factor for which the British people will keep on buying a very successful car.
