2011 Kia Cadenza sedan officially revealed

After previously showing you official photos of the codenamed 2011 Kia VG flagship sedan, now it is time to inform you that the South Korean automaker has decided to officially reveal its top of the range sedan that will be named Kia K7 for the KDM (Korean Domestic Market) and Kia Cadenza for the rest of the markets in the world. The public debut will not take place at the 2010 Geneva Auto Show as expected, but at the Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Dubai International Motor Shows before the end of this year. The 2011 Kia Cadenza will replace the current Kia Opirus (also known as Kia Amanti ).

Soon-Nam Lee, Director of the Overseas Marketing Group of Kia Motors has stated that ``New Cadenza will showcase the continuing evolution in Kia`s striking design language through the harmonious blend of light and lines. It will also present a new concept in luxury sedans in terms of performance and technology``.

Kia is trying to create a family of models, as the 2011 Kia Cadenza shares some specific styling patterns and cues also seen on the new Kia Venga, Kia Sorento and the Kia Forte/Koup. And we have to say that the car does not look bad at all, as chief designer Peter Schreyer and his team remained quite close to the original concept.

Some people might say that the final product looks somewhat disappointing when compared to the Kia KND-5 concept but in my opinion the Kia Cadenza is a huge step forward in terms of design when compared to the current Kia Opirus / Kia Amanti .

The interior of the Kia Cadenza will get ``interior mood lighting strip that runs along the dashboard to the door trim`` and ``futuristic floating dashboard``. No idea what that means as, unfortunately, we do not get to see the interior in any of the photos.
