Video of Honda CR-Z hits the web

The near production ready Honda CR-Z concept is one of the most important cars present at the 2009 edition of the Tokyo Auto Show. The Honda CR-Z concept has a mild hybrid system featuring an electric motor and a 1.5 liter i-VTEC gasoline engine. The Honda CR-Z concept wants to be some sort of a successor of the Honda CR-X small sports coupe that was in production between 1983 and 1991.

The Honda CR-Z is the first hybrid vehicle equipped with a six speed manual transmission in history, as the Japanese automaker informed. Still, information regarding the fuel economy figures or the performances of the car has yet to revealed.

Takanobu Ito, President and CEO of Toyota, has stated that the Japanese automaker plans to launch the Honda CR-Z towards the end of 2010 in North America and Europe while the first market that will get the hybrid hatchback will be the JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) in February next year.
