Koenigsegg CCX crashed by dealer

This is just another fine example of what too much adrenaline can do to someone. If we were talking about a regular cheap car like the Suzuki SX4 for example, then it certainly would not have been a subject for this article. But when the car that was crashed is a extremely expensive exotic car, then it certainly draws our attention.

The accident happened when a New York dealer was taking a 2008 Koenigsegg CCX owned by a customer on a joy ride. As almost always, these joy rides do not end up good. The Koenigsegg CCX ended up into a guardrail and then on a Porsche 911 GT2. I would be extremely curious to see if the insurance company will pay the funds necessary and want will that dealer claim that happened. Too bad for the Porsche 911 GT2 owner, he certainly did not have any fault in this case.

For those of you who do not know, the Koenigsegg CCX is a mid-engined roadster made by the Swedish automaker Koenigsegg. The Koenigsegg CCX is the successor of the Koenigsegg CCR, being an evolutionary design in comparison to its predecessor. The powertrain of the Koenigsegg CCX consists of a six speed manual gearbox, a rear wheel drive system and a 4.7 liter V8 twin supercharged engine capable of developing 806 horsepower and 919 Nm of torque. Thanks to the extremely powerful engine the Koenigsegg CCX can reach a maximum speed of 417 km/h while being able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h in 9.8 seconds. The price for such a vehicle is about 500.000 dollars.
