It is just normal that at the most important Asian auto event of the year, the 2009 edition Tokyo Auto Show, the most important Asian automaker, the Toyota Group, to reveal some of the most important models.
After the revealing of the Lexus LFA supercar and the Toyota FT-86 sports coupe, the Japanese automaker also came at the 41st edition of the Tokyo Auto Show with the redesigned 2010 Toyota Mark-X . The 2010 Toyota Mark-X will only be available in the JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) and some other Asian countries. The most important features of the 2010 Toyota Mark-X include a refreshed interior with a restyled dashboard, and some exterior cosmetic improvements especially in the front and the rear of the car. The Toyota Mark-X is destined to be a more affordable version of the BMW 5-Series, being a sporty rear wheel drive sedan based on the Lexus GS architecture.
Two new engines will be available for the 2010 Toyota Mark-X, more precisely a 3.5 liter engine capable of developing 318 horsepower from the Lexus GS350 and a 2.5 liter engine capable of developing 203 horsepower from the Lexus IS250. It is important to mention that both units are V6 gasoline engines. The 2010 Toyota Mark-X will also come with a standard six speed automatic transmission.
As we previously told you, the base price for the 2010 Toyota Mark-X will be of 2.380.000 Yen or the equivalent of 17.380 euros or 25.880 dollars for the 250G version while the top of the line Toyota Mark-X 350S L-Package comes with a price of 3.800.000 Yen or the equivalent of 27.750 euros or 41.330 dollars.
