6th of November 2009 The 2010 Chevrolet Camaro is probably the Nissan GT-R of America. What I mean by this is that just like how the vast majority of the Japanese tuning companies have developed tuning projects or modification packages for the Nissan GT-R, most of the American cars present at the 2009 SEMA Show , which is maybe the most important tuning event of the year, will be based on the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro . The event will take place in Las Vegas.
Lingenfelter will actually come with two tuning projects based on the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro . After previously telling you about the Pontiac Trans Am concept based on the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro, now what we have here is the confirmation of the unveiling of a supercharged Camaro SS with a bunch of cosmetic and mechanical improvements at the 2009 Sema Show.
Some of the most important features of the supercharged Camaro SS by Lingenfelter include titanium connecting rods, forged JE pistons, production GM LS7 crankshaft and a 426 cubic inch (which translates into 7.0 liters) LS7 V8 engine with an 8.8:1 compression ratio capable of developing 750 horsepower.
The modification package for the supercharged Lingenfelter 2010 Camaro SS include a subframe brace, a 6 bolt LS9 twin disk flywheel and clutch assembly, anti-sway bars, a twin pump fuel system, double adjustable Sachs shocks and Hotchkis suspension springs, Brembo brake calipers and rotors as well as a Corsa sport exhaust system.
Moving on towards the interior, we will get to see an embroided interior, a Mito rear view mirror with video display, floor mats, a custom made steering wheel and machined pedal covers.
In terms of exterior styling the supercharged Lingenfelter 2010 Camaro SS will get a set of 20 inch 10 spoke alloy wheels with 275/40ZR20 tires on the front and 305/35ZR20 tires on the back, a new front fascia splitter, rear deck lip and spoiler and rear fascia extension, rocker extensions, new hood with air extractors and a carbon fiber grille.
