7th of November 2009 Automakers are doing everything they can to sell some more cars in order to survive through this harsh economic and financial crisis. Until now, the best short term measure seems to be the launching of limited edition versions of mass produced cars. Kia has understood this very well and are launching special edition after special edition.
The latest special edition model for the British market is the Kia Soul Tempest. The Kia Soul Tempest gets chrome accents on the dashboard and instrument clusters, a Titanium Silver finish with black high gloss bumper inserts and door mirrors, Soul-Shine black seat trim with metallic center fascia, black high gloss bumper inserts and door mirrors as well as specific black 18 inch alloy wheels. The Kia Soul Tempest will replace the outgoing Samba version and will be part of Kia`s Original Collection models. The Kia Soul Tempest will get its power from a choice of 1.6 liter gasoline and diesel engines.
Other important features include an upgraded audio system with an external amplifier, a dash top center speaker and rear sub-woofer, a reversing camera system with electro chromic rear view mirror.
The 12.845 pounds base price tag is maybe the most important feature of this limited edition Kia Soul Tempest.
For those of you who do not know, the Kia Soul was started being produced back in 2008 at the Gwangju production facility in South Korea. The compact MPV comes in over 10,000 combinations of engines, colors, styling and accessories, making it very customer friendly. The first Kia Soul models hit the North American market in March this year while the European market got the compact MPV one month earlier, in February this year.
