After previously telling you about a custom made Subaru Impreza WRX STI by the American division of the Japanese automaker named Subaru Performance Tuning (SPT), now Subaru has confirmed that they will be bringing a VIP style 2010 Subaru Legacy GT that will blend parts from SPT (Subaru Performance tuning) and the JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) version with custom features for the full VIP treatment.
According to Subaru, ``VIP is a style known for a clean, yet heavily reworked, luxury theme with an emphasis on impossibly ride height and huge, aggressively styled wheels``. There you have, directly from the Japanese automaker. So this November Subaru will be going all out American at the 2009 Sema Show that will take place in Las Vegas. I guess that Subaru is allowed to do such a thing at least once a year, in a town that is also known under the name of Sin City. Basically, you can say that Subaru will be committing a sin in Sin City this November. But let`s move on towards the technical details.
Subaru made some serious modifications in terms of technical components. The turbo engine gets a SPT billet battery hold-down, a custom full engine bay cover and a SPT billet oil cap. The Japanese automaker also replaced the stock intercooler and the hood scoop with a Mishimoto front mount intercooler with custom piping for a smoother look.
After that, custom made 20 inch MC3 Enterprises Trinid alloy wheels with 235/30R20 Falken FK452 tires were added. The car was lowered thanks to an air suspension system from Universal Air.
The interior of the VIP style 2010 Subaru Legacy GT gets a multimedia system, diamond stitch seats and door trim finished in Togarashi red, a pair of rear bucket seats, an illumination kit and a STI Duracon shift knob.
As we mentioned in the first part of this article, the VIP style 2010 Subaru Legacy GT gets some exterior body parts from the JDM version. More precisely these parts include, chrome tid bits, hood, rolled and flared fenders, bumper faces, decklid lip spoilers, front and rear under spoilers, roof spoilers, HID headlights and fog lights.
