Realistic rendering of 2011 US version Volkswagen Passat

The North American market is very important for Volkswagen. This fact is shown by the fact that a couple of days ago the German automaker released a second teaser sketch of the next generation Volkswagen Passat. The next generation Volkswagen Passat mid size sedan will hit the North American market towards the end of 2011 and will replace the current generation Volkswagen Passat in the American lineup of models of the German automaker.
This second teaser looked very nice and made people hoping that the next generation Volkswagen Passat for the North American market will be very sporty. Still, we all know that practically never a car turns out to look like the way it did in the sketches revealed to the public before the launch.
To calm people down and bring them more down to earth, Eduardo Oliveira, a talented CGI (Computer Generated Imagery) artist created a rendering showing a more realistic view of the next generation Volkswagen Passat . Looking closely at his interpretation of the sketches, we think that he might just have guessed it right. This is quite probably how the 2011 Volkswagen Passat for the North American market will look like.
I have to be completely clear. It is still uncertain whether Volkswagen will decide to replace the current Volkswagen Passat with a similar mid size sedan but under a different nametag or if they will consider it a next generation version of the current Volkswagen Passat. It is somewhat possible to get to see that Volkswagen will give a new name for the replacement of the current Volkswagen Passat.
The next generation Volkswagen Passat or whatever will it be named will be built at the Chattanooga, Tennessee production facility owned by Volkswagen Group of America.
