The Las Vegas Convention Center was the host of this year`s SEMA Show. For those of you who do not know, SEMA stands for Specialty Equipment Marketers Association.

The SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) was founded all the way back in 1963. Today, the SEMA consists of over 7000 companies worldwide, bringing together restoration specialists, aftermarket manufacturers, retailers, original equipment manufacturers, installers, media, specialty equipment distributors and car dealers. The SEMA organizes every year the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nevada to show off the latest projects of those who are members.

Being practically the most important North American tuning event of the year, many would have expected to see practically only American cars based tuning projects. Still, we all know that the North Americans have a soft side when it comes to German cars in general and BMWs in particular. Thus, it came as no big surprise that visitors of the SEMA Show got to see a whole lot of modified BMWs in Las Vegas. Obviously, everyone tried to do their best to improve the styling (and performance in some cases) of the BMW models, but this does not necessarily mean they actually managed to do it. Actually, in the vast majority of cases, the modified BMWs turned out looking (a lot) worse than the stock cars. Anyway, this is just a subjective point of view. Check out the large photo gallery to see for yourself and make your own opinion. Below you have a large photo gallery showing all the modified BMWs of the 2009 SEMA Show.
