Nissan sells a few unit having a CVT option in America and, for getting closer to the customers, the Japanese builder will be doubling the warranty CVT from 5 years plus 60,000 miles to 120,000 miles and 10 years. The warranty is covering transmission repairs CVT, relating and replacement towing on all the 2003-2010 unit year Nissan cars fitted with this particular option; the warranty for other components remains the same.
Nissan also offers reimbursements to the people who gave money already for a CVT repair if it's covered by the extension on the warranty.
Nissan stated in a letter to buyers 'Further, in the unlikely event that your vehicle's transmission should need repair beyond the extended warranty period we are working to decrease the cost of repair and have already reduced the Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price of a replacement CVT. In addition, we continuously strive to enhance our products, and have made ongoing improvements to our CVTs over the years'.
The extension features a few 2003-2010 units including Sentra, Murano, Cube, Versa, Rogue, Altima and Maxima.
If you're a clients searching reimbursements, you must look for the Reimbursement Claim Form online and send it right away to Nissan. The reimbursement applications deadline is July 31, next year.
'If you seek coverage for a repair under this extended warranty you will need to bring your vehicle to an authorized Nissan dealer. The factory-trained technical staff at the Nissan dealer will have the diagnostic tools and knowledge to provide you with the appropriate service and submit your warranty claim'.
