19th of November 2009 It looks like the British division of Toyota is working hard, as they announced a new top of the range model for the UK market. More precisely, I am talking about the Toyota Aygo Platinum that has been added to the lineup of Aygo versions for the British market. The Toyota Aygo Platinum gets some interesting features, including Alcantara leather seats and gear knob trim, 14 inch multi spoke alloy wheels, six speaker audio systems and Crystal Silver metallic paint. The Toyota Aygo Platinum is based on the Toyota Aygo+ version.
The Toyota Aygo Platinum will be offered in both three and five door versions. Both versions get their power from a 1.0 liter VVT-I gasoline engine coupled to a five speed manual gearbox as standard or optionally to a Multimode automated manual transmission. The base price for the Toyota Aygo Platinum will be of 8995 British pounds. The top of the line Toyota Aygo Platinum with five doors, Multimode and air conditioning comes with a base price of 10.315 British pounds.
Potential buyers can add some optional features, including the Toyota Vehicle Stability Control for a price of 340 British pounds or the Xtra Protected pack (which contains rear parking sensors and additional side and rear protection mouldings) for a price of 380 British Pounds.
Below you have a photo gallery showing both the exterior and interior of the Toyota Aygo Platinum as well as detailed pricing.
